Five Days
of Grace
Scripture, reflection, and prayer for everyday life
You do not have to rush through these pages. Bring your Bible, an honest heart, and a few quiet minutes. Read the passage in its context, sit with the reflection, and make the prayer your own. If you miss a day, simply begin again. This is an invitation to spend time with Jesus.

Receive the gift of grace
Read Ephesians 2:8-10 · AMP“For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;”
Ephesians 2:8 · AMP
A full calendar can make us feel useful. Approval can make us feel secure. Neither can give us the salvation Paul describes here. He calls it a gift. Before we consider what we can accomplish for God, we are invited to receive what He has done for us in Christ.
Verse 10 gives our actions their place: we are created in Christ Jesus for good works. We can serve, love, and work from gratitude for His grace. Today, notice where you are trying to earn what God invites you to receive. Bring that pressure to Him.
Pause & reflect
Where am I treating my relationship with God like something I have to earn?
A prayer for today
Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus. Help me recognize the pressure to prove myself. Teach me to receive Your grace with faith and to serve others with a grateful heart. Amen.
One small step
Write down one expectation you have been using to measure your worth. Beside it, write: My hope rests in Christ and His grace.
Carry this with you: Grace is a gift to receive.

Bring your weariness to Jesus
Read Matthew 11:28-30 · AMP“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].”
Matthew 11:28 · AMP
Jesus speaks to people who are carrying a weight. His invitation begins with coming to Him. You can bring your unfinished work, your disappointment, and the things you do not know how to explain. He is gentle enough to receive an honest prayer.
In the verses that follow, Jesus invites us to learn from Him. Rest belongs within a life of walking with Him. Taking a quiet moment today may not remove every responsibility, but it can make room to listen and receive His guidance for the next step.
Pause & reflect
What burden do I need to name honestly before Jesus today?
A prayer for today
Jesus, I bring You my tiredness and the burdens I have struggled to put down. Teach me Your gentle way. Help me receive rest, accept help, and recognize what You are asking of me today. Amen.
One small step
Set aside five unhurried minutes. Read the passage aloud, name one burden in prayer, and sit quietly before returning to your day.
Carry this with you: I can come to Jesus as I am.

Stay close to the source
Read John 15:4-5 · AMP“I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.”
John 15:5 · AMP
A branch receives its life from the vine. Jesus uses this picture to describe our dependence on Him. Spiritual growth begins with remaining in His presence, receiving His words, and responding to His love in the choices of ordinary life.
There may be days when prayer feels distracted or reading Scripture feels slow. You can return to Jesus in those moments too. Read a few verses attentively. Talk to Him while you prepare a meal or travel to work. Ask how His words can shape your next conversation. Small, faithful returns make room for an ongoing relationship.
Pause & reflect
Where could I make a small, regular space to spend time with Jesus?
A prayer for today
Lord Jesus, keep me close to You. Give me a desire for Your Word and a willing heart to follow it. Let Your love shape my words, my decisions, and the way I care for the people around me. Amen.
One small step
Choose one daily cue, such as your morning coffee, for a brief Scripture reading and prayer. Begin with John 15:4-5.
Carry this with you: My life and growth are rooted in Christ.

Pray through the uncertainty
Read Philippians 4:6-7 · AMP“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].”
Philippians 4:7 · AMP
Uncertainty can pull our attention toward everything that might happen. In this passage, Paul invites believers to bring their requests to God with thanksgiving. Prayer gives us a place to be specific: this is what I fear, this is what I need, and this is what I cannot control.
The promise of God's peace does not set a timetable for our circumstances to change. It directs our trust toward the One who guards our hearts and minds in Christ. When a worry returns, you can bring it to Him again. Gratitude can help you remember the care you have already received while you wait for what comes next.
Pause & reflect
Which uncertainty keeps occupying my attention, and what would I like to ask God for?
A prayer for today
Father, You know what I cannot see ahead. I bring You my concerns and ask for wisdom for the next step. Thank You for Your care. Guard my heart and mind in Christ as I learn to trust You. Amen.
One small step
Write one concern, one request, and one reason for gratitude. Use those three sentences as your prayer today.
Carry this with you: I can bring this concern to God again.

Trust His strength in weakness
Read 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 · AMP“but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 · AMP
Paul had asked for a difficulty to be taken away. God's answer drew his attention to sufficient grace and the power of Christ in weakness. This passage makes room for a faith that acknowledges need. We can pray honestly about what hurts and depend on God in the middle of it.
As these five days close, you may still have questions or an unfinished situation. You can keep walking with Jesus there. Receive His grace, stay close to His Word, and welcome the support of trustworthy people. Consider one small act of faithfulness that is possible today, with the strength you have.
Pause & reflect
Where do I need to acknowledge my limits and receive help?
A prayer for today
Lord, thank You that Your grace meets me in my weakness. Help me depend on Your strength, receive wise support, and take the next faithful step. Keep drawing me toward You as I continue this journey. Amen.
One small step
Choose one practice from these five days to continue next week. If you need support, reach out to someone you trust and name one practical way they could help.
Carry this with you: God's grace is sufficient for this next step.
Keep growing in grace.
